Top 5 most corrupt countries on earth:
1) Somalia
2) Myanmar
3) Iraq
4) Haiti
5) Afghanistan
I cannot possibly imagine Somalia, when just yesterday my friend Pranav and I were walking down the road from a friend's complex looking to catch an auto, when we see three cops beating on an Auto Driver right out in the open at around 7:30pm.
We have no choice but to keep walking as the poor guy is being knocked around by our cities "Guards".
We keep walking, and we see an auto coming, and as we hop in we see it's the same guy! We asked him why and he told us that the cops stopped and demanded money from him, and when he refused they pulled him out of the auto and started hitting him.
That's just one story.
Another time, two of my friends got pulled over for a "Right Turn Signal Violation" and that the fine was an on the spot 2000 rupees. They refused and were pulled from the car and onto the street. One of the policemen filled a bucket of water and the police began to push their heads in and out of the water at high speed, torturing them like this for over an hour.
My friend was driving his girlfriend to the mall when the police pulled him over and claimed his girlfriend was a prostitute and began demanding a bribe. When my friend as usual, refused they once again, pulled him from the car and started screaming at him, throwing him around. They tore his wallet from his pants and took everything he had, including his school I.D.
Who do you call when the police are attacking you?
So you are the one who want to get sucked by an Indian guy. how old you are? WTF I have to say how old are you? Does it make sense? Any way. I guessed you did a lot (to list India at 22 haha)as I did when I was of 15. Now I am 22. Working in a company. I like to read you(your blog. don't go for words feel them). I was so happy when I was in school. It sucks "I am alone and no school time friend." God bless you! Teenager. Your mama is cool but the blogging is ...... mmmmmmm........ quite interesting.

Pleased for "Lance". Is this possible in real life to activate the cheat code as we do in GTA "Look like Lance". If it is possible then find a street cat and activate it.

I am animal lover.
Hi Will, I enjoyed reading your blog. I am an African-American single mother considering relocation to India with my 13 year old daughter. Based on your experience, do you feel that my daughter will be able to adjust or be accepted in an Indian school?
ReplyDeleteHey Will, this is a great blog. My son and I will be visiting India this winter. He's 13 and I've wondered what India is like for an American boy. Sounds like culture shock ridden fun for a visit but from your earlier post I'm glad he doesn't have to go to school there!
ReplyDeleteIs the work difficult there? It certainly seems that they teach math in a different way than we do in America. We blow at the sciences but the Asian kids just seem to take to it like ducks to water. I wonder if it's the method and if you've noticed anything they do differently.
For: Who Else, I don't know if Will would have noticed the fixation India has on "fairness" (read: Whiteness of skin) but if you go to Youtube you'll see lots of videos touting fairness creams(I've seen an ad online for a fairness oil for BABIES!)
To be fair I've also seen some Youtube videos from NRIs (Non Resident Indians who seem to be mostly from the US) who criticize the whole white=beautiful ethos that has such a strong hold in India.
I remember being a little girl of Latin background growing up in the 1970s and how I internalized the message that I really SHOULD have looked like Marcia Brady to be pretty and desirable in my world. It's hard not to when the prevailing message of the land in which you live is that what you are requires correction and is flawed.
While I'm interested in India, and would love to visit, I'd be chary about submitting a young girl to those attitudes at a time when most girls want to be seen as pretty.
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THE STATISTICS? DUDE!
ReplyDeleteWAKE UP MY FRIEND.... FROM THE LAND OF "HOLY" AMERICA!
NEWS ARE FABRICATED, NEWS IN THE NEWSPAPERS ARE CONTROLLED....MEDICINES ARE FABRICATED AND SHIPMENT CONTROLLED...
CURRENCIES AND ECONOMICS ARE CONTROLLED...
AND WHERE DOES AMERICA STAND ALONE THIS?
SERIOUSLY! HALF THE NEWS THAT IS TELECASTED IN INDIA OR IN ASIA IS NOT AS FABRICATED AND TELECASTED AS MUCH AS ITS IN USA...
REALLY WANT TO KNOW YOUR VIEW ON THIS!
CHEERS!
A NOT SO AMERICAN GUY!
